Pete Graves has revealed that Boubacar Kamara is now on the 'radar' of Newcastle United ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window.

The Lowdown: Second arrival?

Kieran Trippier moving to St. James' Park looks all but done after it was reported that he arrived at the training ground ahead of his switch from Atletico Madrid.

Thus, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) consortium will now be looking at other targets and areas to strengthen, with Moussa Dembele and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly being considered as strikers, while Sven Botman and Diego Carlos have been mentioned as centre-back options.

Nonetheless, it is looking like it will be a very busy window for the new owners.

The Latest: Kamara on the 'radar'

As per Pete Graves, Kamara is on the 'radar' of the North East club, while Manchester United are also taking a 'keen interest' in the Marseille ace.

The Sky Sports journalist also suggests that if he does end up moving to Old Trafford, then it could open up a potential move for Donny van de Beek to Tyneside instead.

However, Kamara seems to be the player that they are focusing on for now.

The Verdict: Get it done

At just 22 years of age and with over 150 appearances already for Marseille, including in the UEFA Champions League, Kamara is one of the most promising players making a name for himself in the game.

Once dubbed a 'phenomenon' by teammate Rolando, he has the capabilities of playing in many different areas of the pitch, mainly as a defensive midfielder or a central defender.

His versatility would be of so much use to Eddie Howe, who has reportedly told the owners that he wants him, and thinks that he is 'too good' to miss out on this month (The Sun).

Kamara's contract is also up in the summer, and so there is a potential for the Magpies to get themselves a real bargain.
