Loads of Newcastle United fans have mocked a plea from former ace Tino Asprilla to re-join the Tyneside club as a trainer for the strikers.
The former centre forward has been active on his official Twitter page, talking about his excitement regarding the Magpies potentially getting rid of Mike Ashley and offering himself up as a striker trainer at St. James’ Park, as per ChronicleLive.

Asprilla enjoyed a relatively prolific time with the Toon, scoring 18 goals and providing three assists in 60 appearances in all competitions ranging from the 1995/96 to 1997/98 campaigns, according to Transfermarkt.
The ex-Colombian international also represented his native county at senior level 58 times, scoring 20 goals as per the website.
Asprilla spent most of his club career in Italy, and in 213 total club appearances, the 50-year old managed 61 strikes whilst also making seven assists (via Transfermarkt).
These NUFC supporters mocked Asprilla’s plea on Twitter despite his relatively impressive stats for the club. One suggested they would swap him for Joelinton, whilst another claimed that they would rather have another of their ex-strikers, Lomana LuaLua.

As much of a legend he is, bit of a wild one isn’t he?

Would rather have Lua Lua back purely for the celebration

Definitely not, as much a I love Tino I think with the figures being quoted about this takeover we should go for someone younger. Cavani or Lewandowski.
