The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty anxious after receiving some disappointing news ahead of their side’s clash with Liverpool…
According to the BBC, City captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt for the game – having picked up an injury whilst away with the Belgian national side.
Of course, injury woes are not new to Kompany, having spent much of last season on the shelf. The problem here, though, is that he looked to be over the worst of his problems, but just like that – they have come back.
This is a particularly big issue for the Citizens given their lack of defensive cover. Kompany has been a regular so far this season, and so Pep Guardiola has a few big decisions to make as he looks to replace him should he not be fit.
Unsurprisingly, this has generated a lot of negative reaction in the Transfer Tavern, and that has spread over onto social media too.
Man City fans around the world are clearly not very happy with the news at all, with most now fearful ahead of the Liverpool game. They’re desperately hoping for him to be fit.
