Norwich weren’t exactly fancied as a side that would be battling for automatic promotion at the start of the season, however, Daniel Farke’s side have been in great form. After finishing 14th last season they now sit 2nd, and the impact that Emi Buendia has had is massive, and he was again sublime last night.

It says a lot that of Buendia’s 22 appearances this season they’ve lost just once, yet in the games where the 22-year-old has missed out on minutes, they’ve lost four times out of just six games. That is one hell of a record for the Argentine midfielder, and it will be just another reminder to the Carrow Road faithful of how important the 22-year-old is to them.
Last night against Birmingham, Buendia as again sublime and even though he didn’t get on the score-sheet, the Argentine fills the creative void at the club that was left when Wes Hoolahan departed. The away side did give the midfielder some special treatment in the clash yesterday, but the best players always do get a bit of a kicking, however, it wasn’t enough to halt Buendia in another Norwich win.
