Not long to go: 2 key transfers Everton must seal before the window closes

The Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been getting rowdier of late, as manager Ronald Koeman seems to be making his mark on the team.

Some positive results of late, including a demolition of Manchester City last week have meant Toffees all around the country are in a buoyant mood as we approach the end of January.

With the addition of Morgan Schneiderlin a few weeks back, all the talk over at the jukebox here in the Tavern has been centred on if they can add any further signings this month.

Our landlord here at the Tavern thinks that Everton offer an attractive proposition for incoming players, and they could well be active again.

With that in mind, here are TWO key transfer Everton must look to seal before the transfer window closes…

James Ward-Prowse

The Southampton youngster is by no means a regular for the Saints under new manager Puel, and Ronald Koeman might see this as an opportunity to swoop in.

Ward-Prowse is a class act, and with an ageing Gareth Barry in the middle of the park, Koeman might see him as the ideal long term replacement.

A top young player who would come at a cost, Ward-Prowse would be an excellent buy for the Toffees.

Anwar El Ghazi

Another place Koeman might look is back in his homeland, and specifically with Ajax.

Exciting forward player El Ghazi is a player hot on the radar of plenty of clubs around Europe, and he might be someone Koeman could look to lure to Goodison Park this month.

El Ghazi has bags of ability and is a real threat across the forward positions, and he could be just what Everton need in their squad as they look to press on further this term.
