Liverpool continue their Premier league campaign tonight when they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace. Both teams won their Premier League opener and have the opportunity to make it two wins from two games tonight, although most fans are expecting a win for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

Despite the fact that Liverpool won both games against Palace last season, things haven’t always been plain sailing for the Kopites when they face the Eagles. Since that infamous 3-3 draw at Selhurst Park that practically cost them the title back in the 2013/14 season, the sides have met nine times with Palace winning four and Liverpool five of those meets. The most recent win for Palace, though, was in April 2017 well over a year ago.
Despite the strangely even record between the Eagles and the Reds, the bookies are still tipping Liverpool to win this one with relative ease. After Klopp’s men dispatched West Ham 4-0 at Anfield last weekend, everyone seems to think that Liverpool mean business and if they can join Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Watford and Bournemouth as the only clubs with a 100% record so far then they’ll be well placed to make a title charge.

Most fans are demanding three points tonight and they’ll view anything less as a massive failure in what they deem a winnable fixture.
