Nottingham Forest managed to take a point from their long journey down to the south-west of the country against Bristol City (BBC), however the result did not come without its problems for Sabri Lamouchi’s Championship promotion chasers.
57' Bristol City 0-0 #NFFC: Red card for Ryan Yates.
The midfielder jumps in two-footed, looks out of control and referee Craig Pawson shows him a straight red.

Ryan Yates was shown a straight red card in the second half of the clash by referee Craig Pawson just before the hour-mark as he appeared to lose control on a two-footed tackle.
Prior to his sending off, the 22-year-old central midfielder looked to be making a nuisance of himself in the middle of the park for the Tricky Trees. According to the data recorded by WhoScored, he managed to have two shots on goal, although his passing statistics suggest he struggled to make things count when in possession – completing just 64.3% of his 14 passes.
However, when the club posted news of Yates’ dismissal, it appears a number of the Nottingham Forest faithful were far from surprised, with many of them suggesting that it had been coming and had only been a matter of time before he was given his marching orders this season.
Here are just some of their reactions…
Only matter of time before Yates got a red. Plays on the edge.

Never liked him man I swear, provides nothing every week
— Lewis Treece (@LewisTreece) November 23, 2019
how’s he even starting anyway
— Marco Frosenotti (@frosenotti) November 23, 2019
At least he won’t play for a few games now

And that’s why he’s still a liability – great potential but poor game management

He does that sort of challenge all the time, needs to sort it out, you cant go in 2 footed in today’s football
— Steven Hardy (@PsychoWookiee) November 23, 2019
He needs looking at. Liability. This can’t happen in these games where it’s a 50 50 game.

Brings nothing to the team
