The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that their team can secure a return to Champions League football this season, following the club’s failure to qualify for the competition last season.

It was a miserable time for the United fans during the summer as they were forced to consider the prospect of featuring in the Europa League on Thursday evenings instead.

Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho has started to turn things around at Old Trafford following a sticky start to his time as manager of the club and the Red Devils supporters are starting to enjoy his tenure.

With United still in Europe and challenging for a place in the top four of the Premier League there is little reason to look towards next season just yet, although some fans are already discussing next season’s potential squad.

The Manchester United defender is looking pretty surplus to requirements at the club right now and his time as a Red Devils defender could be coming to an end.

Jones has been called upon this season on occasions due to some injury issues to other players, although it looks very likely that United will enter the transfer market for another defender this summer, spelling bad news for Jones.
