Arsenal are looking to finish the season with a flourish after a poor campaign overall, and their form remains inconsistent, with the club yet to pick up a point away from home in 2018.

The Gunners, despite spending big sums on the likes of Lacazette and Aubameyang in the last two windows, appears to be still struggling with some elements of their game, and are well away from even challenging for the much coveted top four spots.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord is adamant that Arsene Wenger once again needs to venture into the market in the summer, and there are a few players out there he thinks can do a sterling job for the club.

However, he also feels that there are players within the Gunners squad who are simply not up to the job, and it could well be time for Wenger to move these sorts of player on.

With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at a one potential in and out at the club this summer…

Out – Callum Chambers

The young English defender simply does not appear up to the challenge of playing for a top four club in the Premier League, and a summer move could well be on the cards for the former Southampton man.

Chambers, who many thought would go on to dominate the Arsenal back four for years, looks error prone and devoid of confidence, and it might well be that Arsene Wenger has had enough of his antics in a Gunners shirt so far.

With the defender showing little signs of improvement of late, his time at the Emirates could well be coming to an abrupt end.

In – Ander Iturraspe

The Spanish midfielder has long been a regular for Bilbao over in La Liga, and could well fancy a crack at the Premier League if the right move comes along.

This is where Arsenal could come in. The 29-year-old is a powerhouse in the middle of the park, but is also more than capable on the ball.

The Gunners have longed for a top class central midfielder ever since the days of Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit, and Iturraspe might well prove to be the answer.
