Spurs will play Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham in the newly-launched tournament that will seek to follow the success of 20:20 cricket and masters tennis – Ossie will manage the Spurs lot.
The format will be 11-a-side but with just 20 minutes each way plus unlimited ‘roll on, roll off’ substitutions.
Football40 will hold Masters Home internationals between England, Italy, Brazil and Argentina plus an eight-team legends World Cup in South Africa later in the year.
Glenn Hoddle is F40’s technical director and will also manage the England side. The concept is to provide a serious yet fun environment for over 35s with the unlimited subs rule helping on the fitness side.
