Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have endured another difficult weekend, with a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby handing the Gunners quest for Champions League football a huge blow.
That defeat also ensured Spurs finished above their North London rivals for the first time in 22 years, compiling further misery upon Arsenal fans, and the debate amongst the fans has persisted to involve one under-performing player.
Mesut Ozil has once again find himself in the firing line following another disappointing performance for the Gunners, which unfortunately for the German comes at the same time as reports emerged suggesting he wants a whopping £300k-a-week.
Whilst our landlord feels Ozil’s latest performance has been victimised, as the rest of the team were woeful, he does admit that the German doesn’t have too much defence for his poor performances left and is wondering whether Arsenal should sell this summer.
With Twitter being the prime place for a debate, Mirror journalist John Cross has sparked a huge discussion on Ozil and whether he’s genuinely world-class- which attracted a wealth of responses from an array of supporters.
