Rangers have had some fantastic European nights down the years.
During the 2007/08 season, they beat the likes of Sporting Lisbon and Fiorentina on their way to the UEFA Cup final (UEFA), whilst Gers fans of a certain age will never forget their 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup victory against Dynamo Moscow, which remains their only piece of European silverware to date (The Guardian).

Another one of their famous victories came against Parma in 1999 in the Champions League. At the time, the Italian outfit were a side full of talent, with the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Lillian Thuram, Ariel Ortega and Marco di Vaio on their books, but it was the Glasgow outfit who prevailed at Ibrox, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Tony Vidmar and Claudio Reyna.

On Tuesday, the club’s official Twitter page shared a photo of the latter after his strike, and it has got the club’s supporters reminiscing about a wonderful night. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts, one even suggesting that it is one of the club’s “greatest ever achievements.”

I was there. Without exaggeration, it was one of the greatest moments of my life, and certainly my most treasured sporting moment. I remember the atmosphere being thick with emotion; it was dreamlike. https://t.co/6WIRfm75V2
