Rangers have had some stunning players down the years, but few have possessed the raw natural ability of Paul Gascoigne.
The former England international spent just three years at Ibrox following spells at Newcastle, Tottenham and Lazio, and although the days of Italia 90 were long behind him, he was still a joy to watch. The £4.3m signing would score over 40 goals for the club during that time, and his display on April 28th 1996 was arguably one of the best of the whole lot.

Against Aberdeen, the Gers needed to win to confirm their status as champions. Some may have buckled under the pressure, but not Gazza – he scored a hattrick to secure the Glasgow outfit’s eighth Scottish league title in a row.

To mark the occasion, Twitter page WATP.com decided to share a video of his three goals that day, and the Rangers supporters have flocked to the video to wax lyrical about the former Everton man – one fan even called him a “footballing genius”. You can see some of the best comments below.
I might of been 9 years old, but still remember being at this game. The guy is a footballing genius. Great memories. #gazza #8 #hero https://t.co/TuH1sfSSA2
