Pep Guardiola simply must loan out these 2 Man City players in January

When Pep Guardiola breezed in to Manchester City this summer we all, not just the local City fans, expected big changes here in the Transfer Tavern and that is what has happened.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona man has already had a big impact on the way City play, as we’ve seen their possession stats go through the roof, but it is the changes in the playing squad that have also caught our attention.

The club were always expected to sign players and sign players they did but a number of pretty key men from last season went out on loan too.

Joe Hart, Samir Nasri and Eliaquim Mangala were just some of the names as Guardiola shook his squad up and the only surprise was that there wasn’t more.

Our landlord reckons at least TWO more players need to leave the club on loan in January, and ultimately can’t see them having much of a City future thereafter…

Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure

Toure and Guardiola have never really worked well together and so that is proving once again.

The Ivorian’s agent has got involved much to the dislike of Pep and that really could be the final straw in this situation.

Toure’s not getting anywhere near the Premier League line-up in the near future and must be thinking about any kind of move away in January.

Aleksandar Kolarov

Kolarov has featured more than Toure this season (not hard) but hasn’t really shown why he should stay for much longer.

He’s made mistakes, including the hilarious own goal against Tottenham, and defensively isn’t good enough for what Guardiola wants.

Throw into the bargain that with the ball at his feet he can struggle too you get a pretty clear indication that he may not be at the club much longer.
