The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been keeping a close eye on their club’s transfer targets, carefully evaluating who they do and don’t want for the season ahead. According to The Daily Mirror, Jack Grealish is one of those targets and the fans have decided that this one they don’t want.

Daniel Levy is keen to sign Jack Grealish and Mauricio Pochettino is behind the move, believing that he can help get the best out of the 22-year-old and have him challenging Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the Lilywhites’ senior squad. However, with Aston Villa in financial woes, Levy is biding his time over a bid as he wants to be sure that he’s paying as little a fee as possible for the attacking midfielder.
The beauty of signing a player from the lower divisions is the wages. Grealish is only believed to be on a wage of around £20,000 per week and whilst that figure is set to rise dramatically if he signs for Spurs, it still won’t be a bank-breaking contract like the one that Harry Kane recently signed before the World Cup. Overall, Grealish could be a very smart move for the club and he could end up like Dele Alli has, however, the fans are unsure over this one and would rather go for a proven Champions League quality player in his position.

I say pass… he's about the same quality wise as Tom Carroll or Alex Pritchard Neither of them could crack the lineup, doubt he would either.

As you can see, the Spurs fans in the Tavern aren’t exactly thrilled to be linked with a player like Grealish and they’d much rather see some higher quality names coming to North London this summer.
