Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern will be outside the Emirates demanding Ivan Gazidis backs the new manager and signs some quality players this summer for the Gunners revolution.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a revamp, with Arsene Wenger leaving after 20+ years service to the club, it should open the door to a host of passengers out of the Gunners door. If Arsenal want to get back to the glory days of the 1998-2004 era, then our barman believes that a step up in the class of squad members is needed in key areas.
With the new manager Unai Emery recent incoming, the board should be looking at giving him the best start possible to life at the Emirates our regulars feel. Indeed, by potentially grabbing this megastar early on before their price potentially starts to shoot up during this years’ World Cup, would be a great helping hand for the Spaniard.
With that in mind, our landlord feels as if Emery should be knocking down the door of Gazidis this summer to grab his man to ensure at least a top-four finish in his first campaign…
OUR VERDICT – Koen Casteels

One of Emery’s first jobs must surely be looking to replace stalwart goalkeeper Petr Cech, as they bid to bring a new number one through in between the sticks and 25-year-old Koen Casteels must be high on his shopping list. The Wolfsburg man has had a great season in the Bundesliga despite them languishing in mid-table.
He’s a fantastic passer of the ball from the back which would suit Emery’s style of play and he would come fairly cheap, which again would suit Arsenal’s notorious tight pocketed spending.
