‘Please let that be true’ - Man Utd fans are delighted as journalist predicts impending move

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern didn’t think that things could get any better…

After a season of disappointment, the Red Devils’ season finally reached a climax on Wednesday evening – with a Europa League final clash against Ajax. Everything was resting upon the fixture: a trophy, a successful season, a Champions League spot next season, and, seemingly, a transfer for Antoine Griezmann.

That is, at least, the opinion of Telegraph journalist James Ducker, who tweeted following the game and suggested that Griezman could well join the club this summer. Indeed, Ducker has even suggested that a deal will be resolved quickly – with the Frenchman set to go on his honeymoon shortly.

This would, undoubtedly, be a huge move for the Red Devils. Griezmann is one of Europe’s best forwards, and he has really impressed since moving to Atletico Madrid. Quick, technical and lethal – he would be perfect for Man Utd.
