It’s fair to say the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting used to the idea of their beloved club spending millions to bring back former players.
Having broken records to re-sign Paul Pogba last summer, the Red Devils are reportedly closing in on a deal to lure England international Michael Keane back to Old Trafford this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the 24-year-old will cost around £25m, only two years after Louis van Gaal opted to sell him to current club Burnley for about £2m. Clearly, Keane has improved a lot since then, though it’s fair to say this deal hasn’t truly excited the punters propping up the bar.
