The resident Toffees faithful in the Transfer Tavern have been pleased by their club’s activity in the transfer market so far this month, but they are hoping that Sam Allardyce has one final move to make before the deadline passes tonight.
Everton have been busy in the January window so far this month as they have welcome both Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun to the club in a bid to bolster their attacking options. The forward pairing have been warmly welcomed to Goodison Park by the supporters who are hoping to see an improvement in their goalscoring fortunes for the remainder of the season.
However, Everton could also be set to bolster their defensive options before the window slams shut. According to Sky Sports, Allarydce is hopeful of signing Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala today in a temporary loan deal.
Mangala, (valued at £13.5 million by Transfermarkt) has endured a difficult spell during his time at The Etihad Stadium, and it seems he has failed to convince Guardiola that he has the ability to succeed under his leadership.
The Everton supporters are rather divided on the merits of the potential transfer, but there are plenty of Toffees who are calling for their club to push a deal through for the French international, despite the fact his defensive flaws have been exposed during his time at City.

He seems a different player now to the one they originally signed. The loan move to Valencia last season seems to of kickstarted his career again. I think he’s a decent player, quick, a big imposing unit. Be a good signing imo
