Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern were certainly impressed with what their side managed to produce last weekend against Brighton.
Though, of course, it was only the first game of the year against a side completely inexperienced at this level, City still impressed with the stranglehold of the game as they ran out 2-0 winners.
Indeed, the likes of David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne were once again at their very best and so things are looking rather formidable in the blue half of Manchester.
Certainly, though, it could get even better for the club with one of their big signings – Benjamin Mendy – now in training with the club in Spain on a brief warm-weather training camp.
