“Poch you were clueless”, “Give up and prepare for next season” – Tottenham fans react to embarrassing loss

The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern were unimpressed yesterday as they watched their side crumble to a 4-1 defeat against Manchester City.

Christian Eriksen grabbed a late consolation for Spurs but it did little to mask their poor performance, although credit must be given to Manchester City, who were on fire without David Silva.

Goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne and a brace from Raheem Sterling saw Manchester City race to a four goal lead.

And it could have been more with Hugo Lloris called into action to make a couple of smart saves, Raheem Sterling twice missing golden opportunities from close range and Gabriel Jesus hitting the post from a penalty.

It goes without saying that Tottenham fans were quite upset with this result.

They took to social media to vent their frustration and share their opinions on a poor display at The Etihad.
