Watching a centre-back attempt a skill is one thing, but seeing a defender pull off one is another, and Portsmouth’s very own Sean Raggett did just that over the weekend.

The on-loan 6’6″ defender from Norwich City provided one of the highlights of the game for Portsmouth supporters as his Cruyff turn sent an Oxford United defender the wrong way in the closing stages of Pompey’s 1-1 draw with their League One rivals (per BBC Sport).
And as expected, a short clip of Raggett’s impressive skill was well-received on social media by Portsmouth supporters, with fans enjoying the creativity from their towering centre-back in a game in which WhoScored award the 25-year-old the MOTM accolade, with the former Lincoln City centre-back being awarded a 7.7 rating.

Here’s what some Portsmouth fans had to say about Raggett’s impressive turn against Oxford, with some fans declaring it as their favourite moment of the match…
Was my favourite moment of the match and pleased others have noticed this sheer coolness

Really glad you caught that. Saw it from North stand, & it looked like some sort of ‘Cruyff turn’! Raggett did well there, and for much of the game. Gotta give the guy support, he’s not played many in a row for a good while! #PUP

This was probably the highlight of the game. We need to score more goals and stop conceding them in the last few minutes.

Class, how to make the opposition look stupid. Love it

We were stunned at the Park yesterday, didn’t know he had that in him to be honest…
