Potential consequences: Andreas Pereira

It’s fair to say that Arsenal have been quite brilliant during their unbeaten run that now stretches to over 17 games.

Unai Emery’s appointment has brought the optimism back to the Emirates and fans are currently loving every moment.

Having seen their beloved club struggle over the last few seasons, it’s revitalising to see the fast-pace, pressing football that Emery has implemented into the club.

Yet even with such an impressive unbeaten run, the Gunners could still be a lot better and could do that by signing Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira.

The Mirror reported last week that Arsenal are planning a move for the United outcast seeing as he will be available in a cut price deal during the upcoming January transfer window, because his contract is up at Old Trafford this summer.

So what could this mean for Arsenal…

Mkhitaryan benched in place of Pereira

The Armenian International has been poor for the most part of this season, failing to really capture the form he had in parts upon moving to the Emirates in the January transfer window.

In what would be a likely switch, Mkhitaryan would be dropped to the bench, in order for Pereira to show what he can do out on the wing.

More goals incoming for Arsenal

Strengthening their attacking options can only help Arsenal going forward and Andreas Pereira is a player with a great deal of quality, that could provide the Gunners with even more firepower in front of goal.

The likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette will surely be delighted with the interest, knowing full well that they will be getting more chances every game to score from the Brazilian’s delivery.
