The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are eyeing a few incoming transfers this summer, with improvement clearly needed. They’ve been a decent team this year, but Man City are at another level beyond them, and so Mourinho must reduce the size of that gap this summer.
However, the risk of losing players is always present, particularly when a divisive manager like Jose Mourinho is in charge.
The Portuguese is very stuck in his ways, and that can have incredibly positive effects on some – and not so positive effects on others.
As a result, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a few players ask for an exit this summer. A handful of individuals have had their game time limited this season, owing to Mourinho’s lack of rotation, and that could be just one reason why they want to leave.
However, whilst some are expendable, others most certainly are not, and so the Red Devils must be caeeful with who they choose to sell and who they choose to keep this time around.
In the case of the latter, here are TWO players that they must not lose…
Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial is facing an uncertain future, owing to a lack of game time under Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese is showing no sign of changing his mind on Martial, and that’s going to be a problem for the Red Devils.
Martial didn’t win the Golden Boy award for no reason. His incredible potential is limitless, and if Man Utd were to lose him, it would be one of their worst decisions in years.
Sure, he isn’t always at his best, but it’s too soon to cash-in. If Mourinho gave him more of a chance, he could be a star at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford

Another player that has found starts hard to come by this season, Marcus Rashford is a player that Man Utd simply must hold on to.
Even if you forget about his connection to the club, he’s proven that with the ball at his feet, and he’s one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers.
He’s been around for a while, and so it’s easy to forget that he is just 20-years-old, and so he’s still got several more years of development left in him.
Rashford is only getting better, and Man Utd can’t miss out on his potential.
