The Sun are reporting that Southampton are keen on signing Paul-Georges Ntep from Rennes but they face competition from Liverpool and Arsenal, leaving the respective fans here in the Transfer Tavern on tenterhooks.
The report suggests that Ntep will not sign a new deal with the French club and they may look to sell him in January, with the three Premier League clubs allegedly interested in securing his signature.
The French international who has two caps for his country is equally as adept at playing through the middle or down the left hand side, and would find competition for places at all three of the linked clubs.
At Southampton, who are reportedly the favourites right now, he’d be up against the likes of Charlie Austin and Nathan Redmond to get into Claude Puel’s plans.
Meanwhile at Liverpool he’d likely have to break up the front three of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane, whilst at Arsenal he’d see Alexis Sanchez as the main man to try and oust.
