Journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Athletic has shared an update on Tottenham and their links to former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Lowdown: Conte exit nearing?
Antonio Conte‘s deal at Spurs looks set to expire at the end of this Premier League season, and while the club do have an option to extend by 12 months, there is currently little appetite to do so.
Some sources believe it is more likely than not Conte departs north London around a year-and-a-half after he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo.
Many managers have been linked with the potentially vacant role, including Pochettino, with Pitt-Brooke sharing the latest on a possible reunion.

According to the reporter, writing in a piece for The Athletic, the prospect of a Spurs return ‘appeals’ to both Pochettino and Tottenham.
It is also relayed that the Lilywhites, and chairman Daniel Levy by extension, attempted to lure the Argentine away from Paris-Saint Germain ‘less than two years ago’.
This was around the time Spurs were hunting for a Jose Mourinho replacement, but after failing in their attempts to re-land Pochettino, they eventually turned to Nuno.
The Verdict: Perfect man…
The 51-year-old would be an ideal successor to Conte, especially considering how popular of a decision that would be among the fanbase.
Pochettino is seen by many as one of Tottenham’s most adored managers ever and he would now come back with experience of winning silverware.
The 4-3-3 attack-minded boss now boasts a Ligue 1 title, French Cup and French Super Cup in his trophy cabinet – further adding to his CV after a proven spell in England with Spurs.
Pundit Jamie O’Hara has called the tactician ‘world class‘ for his overachievements on a shoe-string budget, again reinforcing the idea he is a more-than credible Spurs manager candidate.
Currently a free agent, there are also few financial constraints standing between Pochettino and his old job.
