Tottenham are ‘set to start’ two starlets this afternoon as defender Davinson Sanchez drops to the bench, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Spurs prepare for Wolves…

Spurs are preparing for a crunch Premier League clash against Wolves this afternoon as manager Antonio Conte hopes to see his team return to winning ways.

The north Londoners were unceremoniously knocked out of the FA Cup fifth round in midweek, losing 1-0 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, but they’ve been impressing in the top flight lately.

Tottenham have lost just once in five games, winning all of the rest and keeping a clean sheet in each encounter.

The Latest: Tottenham team news before Wolves…

Some possible team news has come to light before Spurs’ face-off against relegation-threatened Wolves with journalist Katherine Lucas claiming starlets Oliver Skipp and Dejan Kulusevski are ‘set to start’ this afternoon.

51-cap Colombia international Davinson Sanchez will also drop back to the bench in favour of Cristian Romero.

The Verdict: Right call…

Sanchez in particular had an evening to forget in Sheffield, attracting criticism for his overall display and involvement in the home side’s eventual winning goal.

The assured Romero coming back in is a wise choice, meanwhile midfielder Skipp has been a revelation since being thrust into Cristian Stellini’s first team.
