Unai Emery obviously knows what he’s doing at Arsenal and the fans all trust the Spaniard’s judgement when it comes to signing players, however, they’d all throw everything out of the window if it meant signing Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, as these reports from Sport suggest could happen.

You can forgive the Gunners for getting a little bit ahead of themselves over Dembele. The Frenchman is a superb player and whilst he’s had plenty of issues at Barcelona, he could easily be a Ballon d’Or winner under the right management. His talent is unlike most and when put in the right environment he will certainly thrive, but he simply hasn’t had that at the Nou Camp, and now a move to the Premier League could be the best thing for him.
At the age of just 21, it seems incredible to think that the World Cup winner has already achieved so much in the game. He’s the second most expensive player in Barcelona’s history and the 4th most expensive signing ever in world football. At the moment it looks like Dembele just needs to get his feet back on the ground and a move to The Emirates where he has a lot of friends from his Borussia Dortmund days could help him do just that.

The Gunners are desperate to bring in Dembele and will hope the winger can inspire them to kick on for a Champions League spot in the second-half of the season.
