Loads of Aston Villa fans have been slamming the display of Ahmed Elmohamady against Leicester City, as he lost possession a remarkable 23 times, per Sofascore.
Dean Smith’s side continued their terrible form against teams in the top half on Sunday afternoon as Leicester brushed them aside at Villa Park.
Brendan Rodgers’ side got off to the perfect start thanks to Jamie Vardy, and Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the visitors’ lead from a James Maddison cross.
While Jack Grealish got one back just before half-time, the Foxes ran away with it after the break courtesy of goals from Vardy and Jonny Evans.
There were plenty of poor performances from the home side, but perhaps none worse than Elmohamady, who was extremely wasteful in possession.
Not only did he lose possession 23 times, six more times than any other Villa player, he also completed just 73% of his passes, per Sofascore.
Fans have slammed his display as “tragic” with one supporter even saying he shouldn’t play for the club again, and you can find the best reactions down below…
