Cenk Tosun has posted a photo of himself on Instagram alongside the Everton crest, featuring the caption ‘Loading…’
The Turkish forward may have hinted at a return to first team action with the Toffees after his recent Instagram snap, despite a bumpy ride over the last couple of seasons with the Merseyside outfit.
Tosun has struggled for game time recently with Everton, appearing just five times this season before he was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace. The 28-year-old seemed to find his feet in South London, featuring in all five matches he was eligible for and bagging himself a goal against Manchester City in a shock 2-2 draw (via Transfermarkt).
However, his loan was cut short after suffering an ACL injury and he is now recovering at Everton. Since he was forced to return, fans have been speculating over whether he will be sent back to Palace once he is fully fit or if the Blues will give him another chance.
It seemed a lot were in favour of Tosun being sold in the summer, as many have had enough of his inconsistency. But judging by his recent Instagram post, it seems like he is happy at Goodison Park and may want to stay for a little while longer.
Do you think Tosun is here to stay, Blues? Or will we see the back of him in the transfer window? Join the discussion in the comments below…
