According to news from the Liverpool Echo, youth defender Morgan Feeney will go out on loan to League One strugglers Tranmere Rovers for the rest of the season in order to inject some quality into Micky Mellon's side as they bid to avoid the drop.

Feeney, a regular player for Everton in the U23s side over the last few seasons, has made 56 Premier League 2 appearances for the club during his time in the youth setup at Goodison Park (Transfermarkt) - with this loan to Rovers providing some experience outside of the academy.

The Englishman, though, does have action for the senior team under his belt - making two appearances in the Europa League back in 2017. In fact, U23s boss David Unsworth also once heralded the player - saying he was from the 'Dave Watson school of defending'. Now, in order to earn some more game time, Feeney will journey to the Wirral with Tranmere in the hopes of contributing to their eventual safety.

As a result, supporters feel that this is a good move for the 20-year-old, congratulating the youngster whilst also letting Tranmere fans know what a good signing he will be - find all of their best comments from Twitter down below.
