Liverpool's season got even better over the weekend with a win over Cardiff City. It was yet another impressive and dominant performance from the Reds.

Every single one of Jurgen Klopp's players put in a good shift and, at the end of the game, the Reds were good value for the win.

The fixture also served as yet another showcase of Xherdan Shaqiri's talents, with the Swiss midfielder bagging a goal for his club.

He's largely been a bit-part player this season, but his performance over the weekend was the biggest sign yet that he needs to be starting regularly for the club.

As mentioned, he scored for the Reds, and so his attacking involvement is quickly emerging as crucial to the Liverpool first team. He's lethal going forward, and his goal against Cardiff was very well taken. That now takes him up to 1 goal and 2 assists in the league this season - not bad for a player that has started just 2 games.

There's also the role of Adam Lallana. The Englishman has been a fairly regular member of the squad since his return from injury, yet he's done little to thank Jurgen Klopp for his faith. The midfielder has really struggled to make an impact as of late and that surely must leave his position under question - especially given Shaqiri's form.

The Swiss may have only been brought in as a rotational player, but it's quickly becoming clear that Shaqiri deserves even more minutes on the field.

Do you agree?
