Adam Lallana was once a very important player for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp took a real shine to the two-footed Englishman. However, after his entire 2017/18 season was written off due to injury it’s hard to see how he’ll play his way back into the starting eleven. After pulling out of the recent England squad with a groin injury, the fans aren’t expecting much more from him this campaign.
What can we realistically expect of Lallana this season?! https://t.co/CC4HJnnHFI

This season will be Lallana’s fifth at Anfield and whilst he’s still a long way away from matching the eight years he had with Southampton, his loyalty and likeability have made him a mainstay on Merseyside. However, it looks like Lallana will be one of those set for an early retirement as his injury record speaks for itself with the amount of time the midfielder misses out on due to being sidelined.
A lot of fans have been taking to Twitter today to look at the midfielder and predict what the following season holds for the St Albans born man. Most are predicting a quiet season on the bench with a few substitute appearances and in all honesty, it’s hard to see anything other than from Lallana as the quality of Liverpool’s midfield has improved and the ex-Southampton has been left behind.

Think he’s finished , too many injuries at the wrong age

Pretty much nothing. He's the new Sturridge for us now.

To keep the seats warm. He's done.

Get himself sold

Feel for the lad as the season before last he was one of our best players! But too many injuries is disappointing. Really hoping he can get and stay fit as he can be a great asset to the squad

Sold in January. Decent player but injury prone and I don't see where he fits in Klopp's formation.
Not quick enough or a good enough finisher to play as one of the front three and not defensive enough to play as a holding midfielder.

Nothing too much.

The Kopites are expecting little of Lallana this season and they’ll be hoping he can have at least a few more decent performances to bow out on.
