Lots of Liverpool fans have been left furious by an update on their summer transfer targets, after David Lynch claimed the club are not pursuing either of Houssem Aouar or Kai Havertz.
According to Lynch, responding in a Q&A for The Evening Standard, the Reds were ‘impressed’ by Aouar’s displays for Lyon when they were scouting Nabil Fekir, but a move to Anfield would not be in the best interests of either party yet. Lynch states that the 21 year-old is more of an attack-minded player than the midfielder Jurgen Klopp may be looking for, adding he would not get many minutes.
The journalist also does not expect a move for Havertz, saying the club do like the Germany starlet but that the extortionate price means a move is unlikely. Sporting Director Michael Edwards has forged a reputation on picking up quality players in clever deals, so Havertz’s reported price tag of more than £80m seems a bridge too far.
Fans have been left annoyed by the reporter’s answers, with one supporter even saying ‘FSG out’, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

Well if it’s not this summer then we probably never will. How can we pass up on this opportunity?
