Liverpool fans are still seething over the out-of-character subpar performance that the Reds put in against Chelsea last night. The Blues knocked the visitors out of the cup through goals from Willian and Ross Barkley and goalkeeper Adrian is coming under fire for his mistakes.
Chelsea’s opening goal came from a huge Fabinho error and an Adrian fumble in goal. As a result, these Reds fans are absolutely furious and are pointing the finger at these two players.
Adrian earned a woeful 4.9 rating for his performance last night after being directly at fault for a goal. Indeed, his rating is the lowest out of anyone else that touched the pitch (via FotMob).
Many fans are comparing Adrian’s blunder to that of Loris Karius in Madrid in 2018. The German goalkeeper infamously gave the match to Real Madrid and almost single-handedly cost Liverpool the Champions League title. Now, Reds supporters are reflecting on this, with several branding Adrian as ‘just another Karius’ and ‘absolutely shocking’…
