‘Risky’, ‘Sell him’ – Man City fans on Twitter fearing the worst over worrying reports

The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been blessed with one of the most dangerous attacking forces in the world this season. Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling as a piercing front three with Gabriel Jesus waiting in the wings and Kevin De Bruyne pulling the strings behind is the stuff of dreams. Although they could be set to lose one of those world-class talents this summer, according to Sky Sports News.

The reports have revealed that Raheem Sterling has been involved in talks for a new contract, although his representatives have held talks on two separate occasions with the club and both times they’ve come away without an agreement. However, the 23-year-old who finished as City’s second-top goalscorer last season still has two-years left on his current deal and the club are relaxed over getting him to sign a new one.

For now, his Manchester City contract will have to take a back seat, as Raheem Sterling is less than a week away from playing against Tunisia in England’s first World Cup group game. One of the most talented players in the squad, Sterling will fly out with Gareth Southgate and co today to their training base in Repino where they’ll be looking to prepare for their three games against Tunisia, Panama and Belgium.

The Manchester City fans shouldn’t be too worried over the future of their man. Sterling has two left to run on his current deal and will no doubt extend his stay with the Premier League champions after Pep Guardiola has helped him to the most prolific year of his career to date.
