It hasn't been the best season for Celtic so far, but Brendan Rodgers knows how to turn it around better than most. He's had a wonderful few years over in Scotland, and Celtic would be hardpressed to find a better manager for the occasion.

Naturally, though, Rodgers will be relying on his squad to put in some good performances over the coming weeks, and one man that will no doubt deliver will be Odsonne Edouard. Signed on a permanent deal from PSG over the summer, he's a goalscorer, and he'll no doubt bag more than a few winning goals over the coming weeks and months.

However, in terms of importance, Tom Rogic isn't far behind for Celtic.

Rogic played a key role for Celtic over the weekend as the club beat St Johnstone 6-0. He played brilliantly on the day, serving as the main playmaker through the midfield. He controlled the game, and that's a microcosm of what he's done for Celtic more broadly this season. Edouard may have scored at the weekend, but Rogic was just as, if not more important.

Arguably the best playmaker that Celtic have had in years, his quality with the ball at his feet is unrivalled, and he's the sort of player that Rodgers can look to build around over the coming years. He's never going to get the headlines of a lethal goalscorer, but without him, Celtic wouldn't be close to the goalscoring that they've enjoyed at times this season.

Celtic's squad is inconsistent, and Rodgers needs to improve it, but in Rogic, he's got a player for the present and the future.
