Many Wolves fans have been talking about Patrick Cutrone after the club's Twitter account relayed a tweet about the Italian forward.

The Wolves Twitter account posted two images of Cutrone, wishing the Italian a Happy Birthday on Sunday and saying that they hope the striker has a great day.

Cutrone is currently loaned out to Fiorentina, but the striker had joined Wolves from Milan in the summer of 2019. While Fiorentina do have the option to buy him permanently, the loan agreement originally stipulates that if he made a certain number of appearances, La Viola would have had to sign him permanently. His agent later confirmed that he has agreed to remove the purchase option from the contract.

For Fiorentina this season, Cutrone has made 11 Serie A appearances but he is yet to score even once for them. He has played only 185 minutes of league football for the Stadio Artemio Franchi-based club (as per Transfermarkt).

At Wolves, the former Rossoneri man scored three times in all competitions while picking up four assists for Nuno Santo's men. He scored twice in the Premier League.

Wolves' tweet about Cutrone caught the attention of many of the club's fans, who made their opinion clear about the 23-year-old forward.

What did Wolves fans make of this tweet about Patrick Cutrone?

To be honest, I'd have him back.... and buy another striker. If we've learned anything this season, it's that small squads don't work. Raul, Cutrone, Silva and one more gives us options.

"Bring him back ASAP. We don’t have time to wait for Silva. We need a striker who can actually shoot rather than a boy who couldn’t hit a beach ball"
