Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see their club confirm some late in-comings but, according to prominent journalist Pete O’Rourke on Twitter, an outgoing looks set to happen first.
The Gunners are eight points behind current Premier League leaders Chelsea ahead of the next set of mid-week Premier League fixtures over the next couple of days.
They’ll be eager to reel them in as much as possible, then, but whilst some new signings would surely help that they seem more inclined to be letting their youngsters go out on loan right now.
Arsenal striker Stephy Mavididi set to join Charlton on loan. #afc #cafc #DeadlineDay

Young striker Stephy Mavididi is set to join fellow London club Charlton Athletic on loan with the obvious idea that he’ll get more minutes in League 1 than he would in the Premier League.
Charlton lost Ademola Lookman to Everton in this window too, of course, and so it’s a deal that our landlord believes suits all three parties involved very well.
Time is ticking down on this transfer window, now, and so it remains to be seen if the Gunners decide to do any more business.
