There is some laughter here in the Football Transfer Tavern as our landlord shows this viral image around and one of our regulars notes that Juan Mata has some pretty impressive stats.
The Manchester United midfielder is someone we have a lot of time for given he is simply one of the nicest men in football and even has a weekly blog that is quite articulate (well compared to the stuff his teammates come out with) and after seeing that he is the best free kick taker in the Premier League, we have yet another reason to admire him!
Mata may spend a fair bit of time on the bench but he can boast the best free kick to goal ratio of the Premier League era- beating even the likes of Thierry Henry!
