Queens Park Rangers suffered their heaviest defeat of the season on Wednesday, going down 3-0 to Cardiff City.

It was a disappointing night in South Wales for Mark Warburton’s side, who have now lost back-to-back Championship fixtures after also losing against West Brom at the weekend.
The Rs have now dropped to 11th in the league table, but are still just two points adrift of the play-off places.
QPR actually dominated lots of the stats against Cardiff, despite losing. Indeed, they enjoyed 72% of possession, took four more shots and had a far superior pass completion percentage than their opponents (via WhoScored).
However, the only stat that counts is goals scored, and Rangers fans were quick to point that out in response to a tweet their club put out after the match.
At full time, the official QPR Twitter account posted: “QPR dominate, but are defeated,” which led to a number of negative replies.
Some fans were unhappy at their use of the word ‘dominate’ given that they lost the game 3-0, while others were simply frustrated with the team’s performance.
Here is what some QPR fans had to say following their defeat against Cardiff City…
Dominate? Do me a favour ♂️

We played about in the middle too much today needed to be more direct. They knew how to grind out a result like we did at Millwall. Next game.

Had our trousers pulled down… cannot defend like that and hope to get anything other than a pumping!!!

I know you are just doing your job, but It is really a stretch to use the word “dominated” in a headline about a 3 nil defeat

Waste of my time and money.

Dominate? They let us have the ball, hoping to hit us on the break. They didn’t even have to do that really. We did the work for them. Anyway, on to Saturday ⚪️
