In the dying embers of Rangers’ scoreless draw at home to Villarreal last night, Glenn Middleton made a questionable tackle which recieved a yellow card. It could, however, have been the second dismissal for the ‘Gers as just prior to half-time, Daniel Candeias was given his walking orders after a second yellow from a challenge on Santiago Caseres. Candeias was unfortunate to have been sent off having tumbled into the challenge after Alfredo Morelos made the original foul, on the other hand, Middleton was more fortunate to only recieve a yellow. The 18-year-old had a positive game from the left-wing, causing problems for Mario Gaspar all night. Middleton even put the ball in the back of Villarreal’s net, however, it was given as offside. Rangers fans have had their say on his tackle.
