Rangers fans have been lauding Joe Aribo following the Gers’ 2-1 win over rivals Celtic in the SPFL on Sunday.
The 23-year-old midfielder put in a strong performance as Steven Gerrard’s side closed the gap at the top of the table to just two points with a game in hand.
He was given a 7.62 match rating by BBC Sport for his display, while the Daily Record handed him a 7, praising him for his ball control.
“Some neat touches including one great piece of skill to bring [the] ball under control”, journalist Gavin Berry wrote when reflecting on Aribo’s latest showing.
Overall, it was game that both Aribo and Rangers can be proud of as they continue to hunt down Celtic in the race for the SPFL title.
The Gers’ next SPFL outing is against St. Mirren at Ibrox in the New Year, but before then they take on Stranraer FC in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
