Rangers: Fans laud John McDonald for volunteering for NHS

The current pandemic is wreaking havoc across the planet.

It has already been called by German chancellor Angela Merkel as the biggest challenge in EU history, and it has left many people’s lives in danger. Most have been asked to stay at home during these dark times, with them not needing to go in to work.

Health workers and carers, though, are still required to be present at hospitals, for example, as they fight this crisis on the front line. Their work is appreciated across the country, as we see with regular shows of support from home.

Former Rangers player John McDonald, though, has gone one step further, volunteering to the NHS to help them with their day-to-day struggles. The news was shared on Twitter, and as you can imagine, supporters of the Ibrox outfit were quick to praise the 58-year-old for his actions – one fan even called his gesture “magic“.
