It may come as a surprise to some Rangers fans, but they might be lucky enough to see Lee Wallace given some game time later tonight. As the Gers prepare for their clash with Hearts at Ibrox Steven Gerrard was quoted saying that he has no left-backs available, leading to plenty of Gers reminding him on Twitter of their former club captain.
SG: Missing two players at Left-back is a bit of a concern but we have a big enough squad to manage.

The only reason that Gerrard will be going into tonight’s clash so thin on the ground with availability from his squad is because of the meltdown they suffered in the Old Firm. Alfredo Morelos’ stupidity made headlines, but Andy Halliday’s late second yellow has put his side as equally in trouble as the Colombian, and it could end up forcing Stevie G to give the veteran Lee Wallace a chance.
The 31-year-old has featured off the bench twice this season and doesn’t look to be in Gerrard’s plans whatsoever. This all stems from the bust up that the left-back and Kenny Miller had with Graeme Murty after losing to Celtic last season. The defender was stripped of the captaincy at Ibrox and fined four weeks wages whilst Miller was sold, and whilst no one will be paying any money for Wallace, with his contract up in a matter of months he will most definitely be on his way out too.
Regardless of his impending exit, the Bluenoses want him to feature later, and you can read their calls for him to feature here:

The Gers would love to see Wallace make a return and get some kind of Ibrox send off, but whilst it may be what the fans want, the chances are they won’t get it.
