Rangers: Fans tear into Sheyi Ojo’s performance against Kilmarnock

Rangers fans on Twitter were left frustrated and disappointed with Sheyi Ojo’s performance against Kilmarnock on Sunday and left some rather negative reactions regarding his display.

Steven Gerrard’s side left it late to pick up all three points for the first time at Rugby Park in his managerial career to date as a late stoppage-time goal from Connor Goldson meant the Light Blues started their Scottish Premiership campaign in the right fashion.

Scott Arfield managed to bundle the ball home in the first half whilst Wes Foderingham managed to produce a couple of saves to keep the hosts at bay whilst he continued to deputise for the suspended Allan McGregor in between the sticks.

However, he was beaten with just minutes left in the game when Stephen O’Donnell managed to get in behind the defence and lift the ball over the ‘keeper.

Indeed, that was not enough for the hosts though as the resulting corner from Joe Aribo’s fine effort from distance was met by Goldson and headed home; sending fans into wild jubilation which sparked a pitch invasion.

But, it does not appear those wild celebrations could be associated with Sheyi Ojo’s performance at all, as fans were quick to slam the Liverpool loanee on Twitter throughout the match.

The Scottish Sun were rather unforgiving in their rating for the winger as they gave him a score of just five, whilst Rangers News gave him a six after stating: “On-loan Liverpool man had a decent first-half chance to score but fluffed his lines. Worked hard but little came off for him before being replaced after 75 minutes.”

Here are just some of the reactions left by fans on Twitter…
