Plenty of Rangers fans have been reacting to the news that young midfielder Jamie Barjonas is to be loaned out for the remainder of the season.
The club confirmed on their official website rangers.co.uk that the 20-year-old will spend the rest of 2019/20 on loan at Partick Thistle, with the news later shared on the Light Blues’ Twitter channel @RangersFC.

Barjonas, who is a product of the club’s academy, has made nine first-team appearances for the ‘Gers but the last of those came two seasons ago. He had loan spells at Bury and Raith Rovers in 2018/19 before returning to Ibrox, where the closest he came to a senior appearance was when he made the bench for a Europa League qualifier against St Joseph’s six months ago.
However, the youngster has shown signs of promise for Graeme Murty’s development side, scoring two goals and providing an assist in their Scottish Challenge Cup run this season. According to Football Insider, the club have high hopes about his potential and envision him as a future first-team player.
Following the news of Barjonas’ loan move to Partick Thistle, these Rangers fans took to Twitter to wish him well, with some feeling he can ultimately make it at Ibrox:
I really believe this guy has a chance at Rangers.
