Lots of Glasgow Rangers fans have been blasting the performance of Connor Goldson in their 1-1 draw at home to Hearts on Saturday afternoon.

The defender will feel that he could have done better to prevent the late equaliser from Craig Halkett after John Lundstram had given Steven Gerrard's team the lead at Ibrox, in what encapsulated a poor afternoon by his standards.

Goldson lost out on two of his duels and also failed to block any shots or make a single tackle in the game. He lost possession of the ball 12 times in total, the fifth most out of any of his teammates, and also found himself booked midway through the first half (Sofascore) in what was a difficult match for the 28-year-old.

Rangers fans slam Goldson

These Rangers fans on Twitter blasted his performance, with one Bears supporter even going as far as to claim that the defender has been 'shocking' so far this season:

"Goldson shouldn't play for us again."

"Morelos, Goldson and Tavernier are dreadful this season."

"Atrocious 2nd half from Rangers especially once Bacuna came on, he was utterly dreadful. Defence fell apart late on, Patterson needs to be playing. Barisic is as mobile as an oil tanker and Goldson fell to pieces late on today. Really don’t look like a title winning team just now"

"Gerrard's subs were shocking and at the wrong times, the back 4 are all over the place at times … Goldson shocking all season so far and our best right-back is a sub"

"Goldson has been abysmal all year. Heads obviously been turned he needs to know what he wants, and to knuckle down or leave. But Morelos cost us today as did decision to take off both Aribo and Hagi at once. Nobody took control of midfield after that."

"Tav, Goldson, Barisic etc look a shadow of last season and we are being punished for it routinely. Our front 3 is a mess. We don’t get a result on Thursday against Brondby and the fans will 100% start getting testy, can see it coming a mile away."
