Glasgow Rangers rejected a bid from English Premier League side Leeds United for Ryan Kent back in August. The offer was around £10m but recent news suggests that the Whites might go back in with another bid.
According to The Athletic, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are still actively interested in Kent, who is seen as a major player at Ibrox and is not for sale.
However, Leeds are still deciding whether to go back in with an improved offer which might tempt Kent to return to the Premier League and could persuade the ‘Gers to cash in on him.
The 23-year-old winger has scored 32 goals and picked up 30 assists throughout his career, per Transfermarkt, and it is safe to say that, since he joined Glasgow Rangers from Liverpool, we have seen the best of him.
This is highlighted by his stats at Ibrox as he has scored 18 goals and picked up 16 assists in 84 appearances; and at such a young age, he is showing signs that he has the potential to become an even better winger over the coming years, per Transfermarkt.
His form has been impressive so far this season as he has played eight games in the Premiership and scored four goals whilst picking up three assists, per Transfermarkt. Therefore, no matter how high Leeds’ potential next offer may be, Steven Gerrard should be doing everything to keep Kent at the club as he could be key to their hopes of winning a first Premiership title in 10 years.
‘Gers fans, for what price would you be willing to cash in on Kent, or is he simply irreplaceable? Comment below with your views!
