Rangers: Fans laud Bongani Zungu

Bongani Zungu was able to make his Glasgow Rangers debut at the best possible time – in a match where Steven Gerrard’s side put their opponents to the sword.

The Gers were in irresistible form as they beat Hamilton 8-0 at Ibrox. Kemar Roofe, James Tavernier and Joe Aribo all managed braces, whilst there were also goals for Scott Arfield and Brandon Barker. It now means that the Gers’ lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership is back to nine points.

The South Africa international was introduced at half-time, at which point the 54-time Scottish champions were 4-0 ahead. The former Amiens man fitted in perfectly into the middle of the park, completing 92% of the 35 passes he attempted. It looks like there is plenty more to come from the 28-year-old, and he could well be an important member of the first-team squad moving forward.
